The only exception has been given to Vitamin D. It is considered that most children don't get enough of vitamin D in their diets. Vitamin D is present in milk, eggs, and fish however, the amounts required for the proper health of your child or teenager is not enough and you need to supplement them.

However, the implementation of Vitamin D in your child's diet can be very important for his growth as vitamin D is very important for calcium absorption. During the growth periods of your child, calcium plays and very important role in the creation of healthy bones, however without the proper amounts of vitamin D, it is very difficult for calcium to be properly absorbed into the body.

There are also recommendations for supplementation of calcium, however current health events have not give a clear stand on what could be the side effects that extra calcium can have in the body of the growing child.
